| Intec announce strategic partnership with Dicom. |
|
29th December 2006. Intec announce strategic partnership with Dicom.
Intec Systems Limited, a leading provider of financial automation software, today announced a partnership with DICOM Group plc ("DICOM Group"), a global leading provider of Information Capture and Communications solutions.
The companies will join forces to promote a complete invoice automation solution that combines Intec's SEAS (Scanning and Electronic Approval System) with DICOM Group’s Ascent for Invoices software.
Ascent for Invoices is a modular add-on to Ascent Capture, the world's most popular information capture application. Captured content is sent to SEAS for matching with open purchase orders or contract information. Successfully matched invoices are paid automatically according to pre-defined workflows, while invoices containing information that exceeds a company’s tolerances are auto-routed for exception handling within the SEAS solution.
“With the increasing success of SEAS and the growing popularity and reliability of OCR solutions, Intec recognise the synergy in bringing the two areas together to further increase the potential benefits to our mutual customers. DICOM is the ideal partner for enabling the core data capture requirements of our customers,” said Tim Malone, Managing Director of Intec. “DICOM is generally recognised as the leading global information capture provider, and Ascent for Invoices is the ideal solution for customers with large number of suppliers requiring advanced data capture and full integration with the SEAS solution."
The partnership between Intec and Dicom can enable SEAS users to eliminate manual keying and move to automatic capture of vital data regardless of where it appears on the invoice. The data-validation process will then be significantly easier due to a lower probability of human error.

| ROS Group decide on CMS (Certification Management System) from Intec |
|
The ROS Group (Registrar of Standards) which incorporates URS (United Registrar of Systems) and GRI (Global Registrars Inc.) have decided that CMS from Premier IBM Business Partner, Intec Systems Limited of Fleet, Hampshire is the right solution to meet their needs and expansion plans.
The Group was started in May 1994 and since that time has gained approximately 14,000 clients worldwide.
The Group offers certification services to International, National and local standards & schemes, to commercial entities, including public, private and charitable entities around the world.
To handle this volume of clients, the core processing has historically been performed by Head Office (based in Cheddar), with remote offices in over 25 countries passing basic data backwards and forwards over the web.
The relationship between Intec and ROS began in October 2004 when the Group embarked on a project to review their core systems capabilities and requirements based on ambitious expansion plans.
Intec’s experienced consultants worked closely with key ROS management to help define future requirements and as a result of this ROS decided CMS was the best route forward. The first phase of CMS is due to go live in ROS in 2005.
CMS is a flexible, secure, and scalable web solution built on technologies from IBM and Lotus providing an end-to-end certification process for any registrar organisation. From the initial customer quote for a standard or scheme, through process review and issue of a certificate, to the final triennial audit, the CMS solution manages it all. An innovative jobsheet workflow system ensures that auditors throughout the world can accept work and complete reports in the most efficient way possible. A comprehensive finance module ensures that the CMS solution can be a true silver bullet by producing invoices as soon as jobs are confirmed as complete.
