Premier IBM Business Partner, Intec Systems Limited of Fleet, Hampshire have been successful in producing an e-commerce solution developed on the WebSphere Commerce Suite Express platform with leading filtration and purification equipment manufacturer domnick hunter based in Birtley, County Durham.
The domnick hunter group plc is an international group of companies dedicated to the provision of high quality filtration, separation and purification products for a wide range of industries and applications.
The relationship between Intec and domnick hunter began in January 2004 when planning a complex multi-site integration project linking domnick hunter’s many international sites and providing an e-commerce gateway for customers. Intec’s experienced WebSphere team have undertaken the development of the e-commerce site and continue to work with domnick hunter on the multi- site integration project which is scheduled to complete in 2006.
The e-commerce solution can support multiple store fronts, and will initially be launched with two stores selling a targeted range of filtration products to the drinks industry in the United States. The highly scalable and flexible nature of the WebSphere solution will allow domnick hunter to grow their e-commerce requirements fluidly over time, without the need to risk an “all or nothing” investment in e-commerce.
