Intec buys intellectual property rights from Unitech Open Systems

Fleet, Hampshire, UK; Intec Systems Limited, founded in 1986 and established e-business solution providers has today announced the exclusive purchase of all rights to four Lotus Domino Database solutions previously owned by Unitech Open Systems Limited.

This acquisition is in line with Intec's stated objectives to add to the currently owned product portfolio and significantly increase product related revenue to support the existing and successful services side of the business.

Tim Malone, Director of Marketing at Intec, believes the acquisition of the rights to the applications will significantly enhance the existing Intec product range. He said, "When the Intec Directors discussed the merits of these applications we saw a real opportunity to expand our presence and profile within the Lotus Domino solutions market. The applications will complement our current portfolio and add more value to new and existing customer relationships".

Malone added that "Intec are continuing to look at other opportunities which will support our commitment to clients' needs by providing consistent application growth, with first-class support and enhancements which anticipate our clients evolving requirements".

Among the intellectual property acquired by Intec from Unitech Open Systems are :

· Bizeweb
Designed to ensure Web publishing is made easy by using the power of Lotus Domino to convert documents created in standard Lotus Notes or word processing formats to HTML automatically.

· Bizenet
A comprehensive Intranet solution based upon Lotus Notes technology and completely integrated into a Microsoft Office environment. Users can publish documents quickly and easily in a secure environment that can then be accessed using a web browser

· KeyContact
Plan and record all communication with Customers and Suppliers, including marketing campaigns and telemarketing scripts. Full lead and quote tracking by account manager with sales forecasting. Fully integrated with Lotus Notes email and calendaring.

· Quotender
Enhances the business process between Purchaser and Supplier, allowing requests for Quotes and Tenders to be processed securely on the Internet.
