An XPage is not the only Java interface.

Interface, in the modern application development landscape, means more than just a screen for users to type into or a flat file export.

Intec have a strong experience in other Java frameworks, like Vaadin. Vaadin is a component-based framework for building a user interface that can run on Domino, any other JavaEE server like IBM Websphere Liberty or its open source sibling OpenLiberty, or deployed in a SpringBoot application. So if you're looking for a Java interface for a wider developer audience than XPages, Vaadin may be an alternative for you but still leveraging the powerful security of Domino for your data.

But the proliferation of microservices brings a new interface for extensibility of systems, and REST services are the de facto approach. Whether the preference is XAgents, SmartNSF or JAX-RS, Intec has experience of building REST service interfaces for customers with Domino, has been involved in building open source starters and has also built a training course specifically for up-skilling your Domino developers. If more informal support is required, our mentoring contracts can be leveraged for Java advice as well. Whatever your requirement, if Java is required, we can help.
